Explore local history, culture, and beer on Indy’s most fun and unique drinking adventure!
Hello! I’m Amy Beers, founder of Drinking with Beers. I created this tour company to share my knowledge of beer with fellow enthusiasts. My tours offer more than just a typical pub crawl - it’s a first-class experience!
Come drink with me as I show you Indianapolis from a local’s perspective. During these walking tours you’ll learn more about beer, discover some hidden gems, and explore a little of the city’s history and culture (mostly as it relates to beer).
Ready to come with me on your most memorable drinking adventure? Choose from the list of my carefully crafted tours in some of Indy’s most popular cultural districts, or, ask me about designing a custom experience specific to your group.
I look forward to showing you around!

All my life people have jokingly teased me about my last name by asking, "Do you like beer!?”
Yes, I do like beer. Ironically, I’ve built a career from my last name. So jokes on them!
I graduated from IU with a B.A. in Mass Communication. While I was still in school, I co-developed and co-produced a local TV show which I also hosted! It featured the local bars, restaurants and nightlife happenings in the greater Michiana area. “Nightlights” aired every Saturday evening for about three years. It was a ton of fun and people would often ask, “is Beers really your last name!?”
We later expanded the show to Indianapolis where I took a second job as the host of the Indy Visitors Channel, acting as a city guide for hotel guests. I’ve lived in Indy now for almost 10 years and have come to know the city well.
I enjoy entertaining people, connecting them to fun and enriching opportunities, and sharing my knowledge of beer. I worked at a brewery for a time while I started the Drinking with Beers tour company. I’m a Certified Beer Server in the Cicerone® Program, a member of Pink Boots Society (a non-profit supporting women beer industry professionals) and I’m also writing a book about the history of Indianapolis brewing.
Aside from beer, my other passion is travel. I’ve been to Prague, Thailand, Spain, Ireland, Japan, Vietnam, Mexico, Cuba, and all over the Caribbean where I worked briefly on a cruise ship as a shopping guide. I’m always planning my next adventure. I sense Germany and Belgium next on the list!
